My Green Sonoma - For a Healthier Lifestyle and More Sustainable World

Sustainable Building Techniques - Sonoma State University
December 18th, 2007 5:52 PM

The Environmental Technology Center (ETC) at the Sonoma State University incorporates a wide range of sustainable building techniques and design features that minimize energy use, consuming less than 50% of the energy allowed by state code for similar buildings. The “Green Building” features include: passive solar heating and cooling, daylighting, advanced window systems, “smart building” control technologies, photovoltaics, and energy and water-efficient landscaping.

The University offers Guided Tours of approximately 60 minutes by appointment during the week, as their schedule permits, or on weekends for larger groups, over 20. They request a donation of $5.00 per person.   Contact:  armando.navarro@sonoma.edu
